Specific Projects are determined closer to the travel date. We will be traveling to Debre Markos to work with our street children program. If conditions warrant it, we may be working on water filters in Wolisso. This trip will involve a good amount of time traveling over rough roads in a mini van. We plan to split the time time between our project locations to minimize the travel and maximize the impact. Flexibility, good attitude and a sense of humor are required as well as a strong desire to build relationships.

Here are some quotes from previous team members:
D says: “Children needing better education, families needing clean water, mothers needing jobs and lots of mouths needing more food. It is heartbreaking to know you can’t feed everyone, fill enough homes with water filters, or build enough schools to educated all who want to attend. But one thing we learned on our trip… Take a Step. We might not be able to win the whole marathon but we can take ONE STEP. Build one school… feed one child… install one water filter. During our short ten days, we took many steps. There is still a VERY long marathon ahead of us, but many many steps were taken.”
K said: “This was my 3rd mission trip and the best one thus far!. Habesha Momma’s leadership
Here is some of what L had to say: “We visited other programs and were blessed everywhere we went. Some of the things we experienced were really hard and had me doing the ugly cry. Some of the things we experienced brought incredible joy! There were many tears and so much laughter on this trip. Habesha Momma is a wonderful organization. I found the organization and its partners in Ethiopia to be of the highest integrity and dedication. I wholeheartedly recommend Habesha Momma to anyone who feels a calling to serve ‘the least of these’.”
